Undercard bout

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robin Convents (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichabod Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crane has chosen Broken Bones - Decapitated as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Convents tries a head kick but it misses.
Crane shoots for a takedown but Convents saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Crane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Convents to the mat! Convents manages to get full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Convents has his foot on Crane's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Crane works his way back into a safe position though.

My spies in Men of Mayhem (1 TPL, 6 DBL, 5 SGL)(55 member cap) inform me that Crane has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yang has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
