Aberdeen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jackson tries to improve position but can't.
Aberdeen trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aberdeen on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aberdeen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jackson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Aberdeen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as McGirt checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
McGirt thuds a left hand into Sokol's body.
A nice combination there by Sokol.
Sokol lands with a straight right. McGirt didn't see that one coming.
The fighters circling - McGirt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McGirt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sokol thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on McGirt if he has to take too many more of those.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McGirt throws the left hand but Sokol avoids the punch easily.
McGirt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McGirt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Sokol lands with a nice combination. McGirt backs away looking to recover.
Sokol does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
McGirt with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sokol to score with a decent uppercut.

McGirt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sokol connects with a solid leg kick.
McGirt lands with a nice combination. Sokol backs away looking to recover.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McGirt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Sokol lands a left and a right that send McGirt crashing to the mat, dazed. Sokol thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've been told by Sokol's head coaches at School Of Fighting that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Sokol feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McGirt sprawling to the canvas! McGirt rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Sokol finish him?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd cheers as Sokol lands an impressive looking overhand right. McGirt doesn't seem phased though.
Sokol lands an uppercut out of nowhere! McGirt falls backwards - clearly groggy! Sokol dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
