The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Roots enables Spar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Roots manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Roots has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Spar doesn't defend quickly enough and Roots has managed to lock this one up! Can Spar escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Roots on a fantastic submission victory.

Davis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Davis seems to be working for a kimura but Turner defends the submission attempt.
Davis content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Davis looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Turner makes his way to full guard, as Davis worked for a kimura.

Davis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Davis closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Turner did well to prevent Davis getting side control.

Biscuits reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Biscuits taps out! Nice BJJ there by Reginald!
