Walcott felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Walcott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Angus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zelditeez throws a right and a left that Jk avoids nicely.
Zelditeez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jk lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Zelditeez has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Zelditeez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jk.
Zelditeez thows a body shot but no joy.
Zelditeez misses with a takedown attempt - Jk sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Zelditeez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jk enables Zelditeez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jk manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Zelditeez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jk is just riding it out for now. Zelditeez eventually gives up the hold.

Zelditeez tries to close the distance and clinch but Jk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jk pushes Zelditeez away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Zelditeez gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Zelditeez throws a strike aimed at the side of Jk's head but Jk avoids it well.
Zelditeez postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Some bone on bone action there as Zelditeez checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
