Melendez shoots for a takedown but Ing saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ing lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Melendez slips a jab and a cross from Ing.
Melendez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ing manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Simpson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Stryker. That one must have hurt.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stryker has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
