Karleon avoids a punch combination nicely.

Penn shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Karleon eats them both and turns towards Penn to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Masutatsu Oyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oyama's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, World Order - Permanent Revolution. Askren has chosen Kanye West-Stronger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Askren tries to score a power double leg takedown but Oyama sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Askren somewhat.
Askren drops his hands for a split second and Oyama immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Askren face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Oyama follows up with a right hand that knocks Askren into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Takamatsu's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Takamatsu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Takamatsu thows a body kick. Bizimana tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Bizimana stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jon looks to land a combination but Blood avoids it well.

Jon rushes Blood and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Blood's coach down at Island Top Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Blood's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

I was talking to Jon's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jon gets through Blood's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Jon is pressed up against the cage. Blood has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jon down to the mat. Jon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jon drops Blood with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Blood looks back up at him and smiles so Jon waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Blood is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jon lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Blood falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
