Jass throws a head kick that half lands.
Lee lands with an uppercut that bounces Jass off the cage and back into range.
Lee swings widly with a right hand

Jass uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lee.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jass enables Lee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jass manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Jass is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lee defends well.

Jass working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregory shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Quartey as he avoids it easily.
Gregory looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Gregory feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Quartey has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gregory to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Quartey is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gregory pulls down on the head and he's put Quartey to sleep! This one is all over!

Cross stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cross wants it to stay on the feet.

Cross closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gracie did well to prevent Cross getting side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Cross is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cross slips a nice elbow through Gracie's hands, connecting with Gracie's forehead.
Cross really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gracie is not content to let Cross control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cross is looking for a kimura but Gracie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cross to get the leverage.
Gracie is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at TAP ROOT -/- 10 Coaches / Great Sparring / Value, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Gracie wants to sweep here but Cross controlling him for the moment.

Gracie pulls Cross in close to his closed guard and prevents Cross from doing any damage or advancing position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
