The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trujillo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Aoki's head.

Trujillo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aoki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Trujillo throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Trujillo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Aoki's guard.

Trujillo has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Aoki defend it? Trujillo steps over the head and cranks it - Aoki is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Trujillo!

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jacre De Booza was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

It looks like Jacre De Booza has been cut.

Pointek throws a hook but De Booza avoids it easily.
De Booza pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pointek is out of range and De Booza settles back down.
Pointek wants to land a leg kick but De Booza is out of range.
De Booza slips a jab and a cross from Pointek.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De Booza shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pointek but Pointek pushes him off and we're back to square one.

De Booza chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pointek can pounce on him.

De Booza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pointek tries to avoid it but De Booza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pointek to the ground. Pointek escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mike Pointek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacre De Booza.
De Booza takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. De Booza connects with a nice short shot to Pointek's temple.

Pointek is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but De Booza pulls his head out easily.

De Booza looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pointek with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Stackhouse had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Motumbo defends it easily.

Motumbo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
