That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris Leben.

Escobar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Escobar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Simmons is trying to stand up here but Escobar is controlling him well.

Escobar seems to be looking for submissions.
Simmons has a hand on Escobar's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Escobar takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Escobar has hold of Simmons's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Simmons manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Escobar wants to finish this one by submission but Simmons is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Escobar.
