Nguyen comes to the cage accompanied by Hatsune Miku - Secret Police. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguyen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Weichung Nguyen has been cut.
Nguyen rushes Jou and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Everton throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lu was covering up waiting for the punch and Everton finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Lu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Everton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Everton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Everton shoots in looking for a takedown but Lu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Everton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Everton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lu tries to avoid it but Everton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lu to the ground. Lu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Everton shoots in for a double leg but Lu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Lu counters with a crisp right hand that drops Everton! Lu lets Everton back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
