The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
CPW fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Filatov avoids it really well and circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Filatov is defended easily by CPW.

Filatov clinches.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
CPW jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Filatov walks away with a smile on his face. CPW gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Filatov cracks a nice hook into CPW's ribs.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

CPW manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Filatov manages to get himself to full guard.

Filatov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. CPW gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Filatov isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. CPW stacks Filatov on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by CPW!
You can see the frustration on Filatov's face as CPW controls the position.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from CPW lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Filatov has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Filatov and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well Filatov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Face drives through and clinches with Mackey against the cage.
Mackey can't find room to land a body shot as Face controls the action.

Face turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Mackey wants to control but Face postures up.
Face wants to control but Mackey is keeping him busy.

Mackey misses with a takedown attempt - Face sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Klebanov comes to the cage accompanied by Your Worst Nightmare. Ryan Taylor told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! Horrible takedown by Klebanov or perhaps it was just good defense by Taylor which made him look bad.
