Undercard bout

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ayrton Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Above Envy - World Goes Wild. Silva has chosen The Automatic - Monster as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ayrton Silva struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 207.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Adam Rose has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a leg kick but Rose sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Rose seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Rose changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Rose working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Silva sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Rose is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Let's hope that Silva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ferguson enables Gono to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ferguson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gono must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gono wants to stand and escape but instead Ferguson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Ferguson seems to have locked his on tight now - Gono screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ferguson, as he picks up the win!

In his post fight interview, Isaiah Ferguson gave a big smile as he said 'I learned alot from that fight with harris and im definatly #comingbackstronger'.
Rusaka Gono spoke after the fight, saying 'Austin Worner had a lot of experience in this fight. I knew that he was a great fighter. Great job, I am still improving.'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Smalls throws a series of punches but Cooper avoids them all with ease.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cooper. Smalls does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smalls throws a right and a left that Cooper avoids nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smalls.
Cooper connects with a solid leg kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Smalls has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Orgun looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Orgun looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Orgun!

Orgun is sitting in close to Gracie's body. Gracie has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Orgun is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Orgun is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gracie.

After winning the bout, Bruce Gracie thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
