The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos gets the takedown into side control.
Armando defending against the ground and pound.

Santos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Santos misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Armando is not content to let Santos control the position.
Santos prevents Armando from escaping the position.

Santos jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Armando is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Armando and Santos has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Shopov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Formiga under the eye.
Formiga thows a body shot but no joy.
Shopov leaves Formiga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
