Demarco comes into the arena with Fast Lane blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Paskalev.
Paskalev fails with the takedown
and Demarco counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Paskalev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Demarco tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Paskalev is in Demarco's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Paskalev working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Paskalev is pushing down on Demarco's leg trying to pass to half guard. Demarco is fighting to maintain full guard but Paskalev has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Paskalev has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Demarco defend it? Paskalev steps over the head and cranks it - Demarco is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Paskalev!

A relieved looking Arnost Paskalev thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
