Rutten lands a big uppercut and Dee crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Dee looks OK. Rutten waves Dee back to his feet!

It looks like Jimmy Dee has been cut.
Rutten fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Dee out cold! Brutal finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fish's waist but Fish gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Johnson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Fish is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Fish tries to score with a low kick but Johnson moves his leg out of the way.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fish's waist but Fish gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Fish jabs Johnson right on the nose. Johnson blinks but takes it well.
Johnson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Johnson pushes Fish up against the cage in a clinch.
Johnson is working for takedown but Fish is calmly controlling the position for now.
Pope Fish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Johnson.

Fish breaks from the clinch.
Johnson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fish defends well and Johnson ends up having to push Fish into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Fish looks to land a combination. Johnson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Chris Johnson has been cut.
Fish shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Fish which made him look bad.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Fish.

Fish bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Fish comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Johnson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Fish is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Johnson.

Fish tries to land a front kick but Johnson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fish moves away.
A shot to the liver by Fish. Beautiful body shot.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fish.

Fish scores with a jab to the jaw.
Fish thumps Johnson with a low kick.
Fish misses with a low kick.
Fish misses with a two punch combination.
Fish scores with a push kick.
Johnson darts in looking for a takedown but Fish gets double underhooks and turns Johnson into the cage.
Johnson has Fish pressed against the cage, preventing Fish from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Fish wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fish has had enough of the clinch but Johnson keeps him there for the moment.
Fish wants to break free but Johnson has control.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Fish manages to get underhooks.

Fish pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fish lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Fish thuds a left hand into Johnson's body.

Fish lands a big head kick that sends Johnson tumbling to the mat! Fish takes a step backwards and waves Johnson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Johnson is rocked!

Fish lands a right hook to the body.
Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Fish finish him?
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Fish, right into the meat.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses.
Fish thuds a left hand into Johnson's body.

Fish drops Johnson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Johnson looks back up at him and smiles so Fish waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johnson blocks a head kick by Fish.
Fish cracks Johnson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Johnson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Fish pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Johnson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pope Fish!
Pope Fish really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Affordable Quality + Reliable Laundry logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

Da Serra fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Da Serra looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ioannou is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Da Serra is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bergasmarchi tries for a takedown but Rahapussi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rahapussi wants to land a leg kick but Bergasmarchi is out of range.
Bergasmarchi moves away from the strike by Rahapussi.
Rahapussi seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Bergasmarchi avoids a kick to the body.
Rahapussi lands with a nice body punch.
Rahapussi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Bergasmarchi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bergasmarchi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
We've been informed that Bergasmarchi has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Rahapussi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bergasmarchi.

Dubrov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dubrov tries to sprawl but Mitrione drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mitrione throwing shots but Dubrov is blocking nicely.

Mitrione is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Dubrov still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Dubrov has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Dubrov wants to stand but Mitrione is controlling his arm.
Mitrione tries to bench press Dubrov off him but Dubrov keeps the position.

Belt shoots in looking for a takedown but Brunch manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Belt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Red Belt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Belt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brunch tries to avoid it but Belt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brunch to the ground. Brunch escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Brunch leaves Belt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Belt looks up at the clock and then as Brunch takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Belt smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ground and pound from Belt seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Belt postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Belt lands a nice forearm strike.
Brunch tries to bench press Belt off him but Belt keeps the position.
Brunch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Belt takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Brunch slaps away a takedown attempt from Belt, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Belt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brunch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Belt is working to tighten his grip on Brunch's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Brunch has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Belt is really squeezing tight and eventually Brunch passes out! Belt breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
