The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Savage as he avoids it easily.
Smiff fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Smiff shoots in for a double leg but Savage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Billy Savage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abednego Smiff.
Smiff shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Savage lands a left and a right that send Smiff crashing to the mat, dazed. Savage thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mcdermott isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Stevens stacks Mcdermott on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Stevens!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fry misses with a body kick.
Fry throws a low kick, looking for Prefect's leg but Prefect calmly moves out of range.
Fry pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fry feints and then cracks Prefect's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Prefect down.
Prefect looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Prefect drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fry pulls Prefect in close to prevent any damage.
Prefect looking to pass the guard.

Prefect drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Prefect seems to have locked his on tight now - Fry screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Prefect, as he picks up the win!
