Diaz throws a leg kick which misses Buttersnaps's front leg but catches the back leg as Buttersnaps tries to avoid it.
Diaz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Buttersnaps ducks right into an uppercut from Diaz.
The fighters circle momentarily. Diaz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Buttersnaps thows a body shot but no joy.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernhart will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fernhart takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Datsik regains full guard. Nicely done.
Datsik seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Datsik wants to sweep but no luck.

Datsik dips a shoulder and cracks Fernhart with a mighty uppercut! Fernhart falls back against the cage and Datsik unloads with a barrage of strikes! Fernhart is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Datsik screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Avreli slips under a jab from Hogin.
Avreli jabs Hogin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hogin gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Hulk Hogin has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Avreli lands a nice hook to Hogin's body. Hogin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hogin looks winded!
A punch combination from Avreli misses.

Avreli moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Hogin goes down! Can Avreli finish him!?
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Avreli stands up over Hogin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Hogin is rocked!
Avreli scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Hogin is still in real trouble! Can Avreli finish him?
Avreli loads up on a big left hand. Hogin felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Avreli looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Hogin can't hide his disappointment, as Avreli celebrates the victory.
