Karelin closes the distance and clinches.
Karelin is trying to drag Pena to the mat but Pena just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Karelin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Pena is trying to keep an underhook but Karelin manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Karelin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
