The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panavas throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Panavas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Panavas ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Hetfield feints and as Panavas raises his hands in defense, Hetfield changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Panavas feints a jab promting Hetfield to slip. Panavas then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hetfield slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hetfield shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Panavas defends it nicely.
Ignas Panavas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isaac Hetfield.
Hetfield tries to close the distance and clinch but Panavas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hetfield moves in looking to clinch but Panavas pushes him off.

It looks like Isaac Hetfield has been cut.
Panavas feints with a jab and clips Hetfield right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Hetfield is sent crashing into the canvas and Panavas leaps in for the kill! Hetfield tries to get to his feet but Panavas is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Hetfield is in need of a savior and steps in!
