Staley goes for a double leg but Lagoc avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lagoc continues to drive forward.
Staley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Steel has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shimazu finds it's way round the side to connect with Steel's head.

Freddy Steel's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Steel's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

William Shimazu clearly takes that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Shimazu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Steel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shimazu stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steel plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Shimazu chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Steel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Steel throws a nice looking combination but Shimazu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Freddy Steel's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
