The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Under keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Petronov.

and Under counters with a shoot takedown. Petronov fights it but they end up in guard.
Under postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Under drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Under jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Under postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Petronov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Under, into his guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Under drops back looking for a leg! Petronov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Petronov manages to kick Under off! Under jumps back into Petronov's guard.

Petronov leaves Under with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Petronov throws a hook to the side of Under's head but Under sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Under is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Petronov has escaped the position, nice work there.

Under is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Petronov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Under gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Petronov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Under lets go of the hold and Petronov can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Lagk tries to keep at a distance but Magomedov has taken the fight into the clinch.

Lagk lands a takedown into guard.
Lagk makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Lagk throws a big right hand that misses.

Lagk gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Lagk gets tackled into the cage by Magomedov. Magomedov maintains the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Lagk.
Magomedov pushes Lagk back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lagk turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lagk manages to end up in side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Napoleon Bonapart.
Bonapart throws a nice looking combination but McBorin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bonapart closes the distance and clinches up with McBorin, looking for a takedown. Bonapart pushes McBorin against the cage but McBorin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

It looks like Napoleon Bonapart has been cut.
Bonapart lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McBorin circles away quickly and effectively.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dupree lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cooke has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cooke and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
We've been informed that Dupree has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
