The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Cam Lawson has been cut.

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suu Kii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malcolm King had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

King throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kii was covering up waiting for the punch and King finishes the takedown easily into guard.
King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
King definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kii keeping full guard, as King tries to pass.
Kii tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kii is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
King has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

King sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

King tries to clinch but Kii moves out of range.
King takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kii wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kii creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Daniels looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Box throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Box really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nice takedown defense from Box. No joy for Daniels on that attempt.
Box has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Australian Top Team in the buildup to the fight.
Box throws a lazy right hand but Daniels sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Box uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Daniels has time to react.
Daniels chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Box can pounce on him.

Nice sprawl there from Light as Carneiro shoots in.
Light's coach down at Finch Farm was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Light's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Light throws a series of strikes that have Carneiro backpedaling.
Light gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Carneiro.
