The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson drives through with a takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Johnson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Johnson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gracie is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Johnson, into his guard.

Gracie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gracie defends well.

Johnson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gracie stacks Johnson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gracie!

Johnson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gracie was covering up waiting for the punch and Johnson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Johnson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gracie dives on top into guard.

Johnson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gracie is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Johnson.

Johnson pushes a forearm under Gracie's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Gracie is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Blackburn has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bailey is really squeezing tight and eventually Blackburn passes out! Bailey breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oskar De La Hoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry OConner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Larry OConner struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
