Pidasol fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lonni manages to avoid it.

Lonni stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lonni wants it to stay on the feet.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Pidasol. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Lucchese has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Scarpa is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lucchese.

Lansky lands a nice hook to Briggs's body. Briggs takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lansky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lansky has his hands clasped together around Briggs's back. He's all about the action.

Briggs shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lansky manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lansky wants to get back to his feet but Briggs is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Briggs throws an elbow that misses. Lansky uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Briggs's guard. Nice move by Lansky!
Briggs tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Briggs pulls Lansky in close to prevent any damage.
Briggs wants to sweep here but Lansky controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lansky throws a hook to the side of Briggs's head but Briggs sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Briggs closes the distance and clinches up with Lansky, looking for a takedown. Briggs pushes Lansky against the cage but Lansky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lansky lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Briggs gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lansky counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Lansky moves in looking to clinch but Briggs pushes him off.
Lansky tries to close the distance and clinch but Briggs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Meyer Lansky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Briggs moves out of range of the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bobby Briggs will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
