Manson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Manson slaps away a takedown attempt from Aanenson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've been told by Manson's head coaches at C Bukowskis fighting that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Aanenson slips a jab and a cross from Manson.
Aanenson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Manson tries to avoid it but Aanenson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Manson to the ground. Manson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tomas leaves Backscratcher with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tomas lets loose with a powerful body kick. Backscratcher will feel that in the morning.
Vajas Tomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tomas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Backscratcher stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Good leg kick by Tomas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Backscratcher closes the distance and clinches up with Tomas, looking for a takedown. Backscratcher pushes Tomas against the cage but Tomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Backscratcher shoots in looking for a takedown but Tomas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Backscratcher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Backscratcher takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tomas doesn't manage to clinch there - Backscratcher circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tomas closes the distance and clinches.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tomas buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Tomas.
Backscratcher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tomas as he jumps to the side.
Tomas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Backscratcher's head backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tomas sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Backscratcher's defenses. It connects perfectly with Backscratcher's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
