I think Cooper might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to star trek theme. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sinistra has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Sinistra pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cooper back to the cage. Sinistra follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Sheldon Cooper has been cut.
Sinistra is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cooper sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sinistra shoots for a takedown but Cooper saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sheldon Cooper decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Rad. Gorbachoff shrugs it off though.

That was a close round but I would say that Makahlen Gorbachoff will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Rad slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Rad stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Gorbachoff throws up his legs and catches Rad in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Rad tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Gorbachoff! That came out of nowhere!
