Powers has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Stehling is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jyrska Velmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velmu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Doctor Doctor by UFO kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velmu looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wise is trying to maintain the position but Velmu is very close to passing his half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dennis Wise will probably get the nod.
