The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maanpohja takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Maanpohja shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Maanpohja is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Votava kicks off Maanpohja and gets to his feet.

Maanpohja shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Votava is trying to defend but Maanpohja finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Votava is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Votava is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Maanpohja couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ray throws a lazy right hand but Capwell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ray moves out of range as Capwell strikes.
Capwell cracks Ray with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Capwell lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ray down.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalashnikov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Bradley looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Kalashnikov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bradley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Bradley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kalashnikov's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Lindros lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Givens looks to land a left hand but Lindros moved out of range nicely.

We've been informed that Lindros has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Givens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lindros moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lindros.
Lindros moves out of range as Givens strikes.
Lindros feints and then cracks Givens's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Givens down.
Lindros throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Givens's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Lindros dives in looking to finish as Givens flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Lindros's strikes! Lindros is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Givens's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Givens was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
