The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zalac walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Zalac misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Zalac swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Zalac counters with a nice uppercut.
Man keeps the fight on the outside.
Zalac fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Man thuds a left hand into Zalac's body.
Alen Zalac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zalac tries to clinch but Man moves out of range.

Man throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zalac was covering up waiting for the punch and Man finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Blaine misses with a wild body shot.
No luck for Hong with that takedown attempt.

Blaine lands a left and a right that send Hong crashing to the mat, dazed. Blaine thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Hong is rocked!

It looks like Ton Hong has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blaine goes for a small jab and connects. Now Blaine goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Hong stumbles back but Blaine runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Hong to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Hong will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Chavo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Turner's calf.
Turner moves out of range as Chavo throws a body kick.
Turner throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
No luck for Chavo with that takedown attempt.
Turner tries to bum rush Chavo with a series of wild strikes but Chavo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Eddie Chavo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner lands with an uppercut that bounces Chavo off the cage and back into range.
Turner feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Chavo's calf.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chavo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turner tries to avoid it but Chavo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turner to the ground. Turner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chavo shoots for a double leg takedown but Turner sprawls well. He's pushed Chavo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ike Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Chavo.

It looks like Turner has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Jenkins seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kareem al Rashid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jenkins connects with a good right hand that stumbles al Rashid. al Rashid circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that al Rashid has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Thurgood Jenkins will probably get the nod.

You get the feeling that al Rashid really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Jenkins has hold of al Rashid's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and al Rashid manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Jenkins jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… al Rashid is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by al Rashid and Jenkins has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Jenkins is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. al Rashid knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jenkins is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if al Rashid gets his way!
