The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duffee lands a nice hook to LaPugilista's body. LaPugilista takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Duffee looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A jab from LaPugilista finds it's way through Duffee's defenses.

It looks like Todd Duffee has been cut.
Duffee tries to score a power double leg takedown but LaPugilista sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Duffee somewhat.

LaPugilista gets caught flat footed, as Duffee shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Duffee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. LaPugilista gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Duffee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. LaPugilista doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. LaPugilista manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

LaPugilista has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Duffee to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! LaPugilista is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Duffee pulls down on the head and he's put LaPugilista to sleep! This one is all over!

Box looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Freidrichs in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Check out the look on Freidrichs's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Box knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Freidrichs on the ground.
Freidrichs connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Box some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Freidrichs has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Box is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Freidrichs yanks on the arm and Box is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Freidrichs.

Creed's coaches at LOD-Guts & Glory Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
