Bonez doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Fabiano counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fabiano must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters circle, before Craig throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Bataka's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Craig lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Starking lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Felix tries to sprawl but Dzoker drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Felix is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dzoker missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dzoker connects with a nice short shot to Felix's temple.

Dzoker is working for a kimura but Felix is defending it quite comfortably.

Felix is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dzoker is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Felix doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dzoker.

Dzoker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Felix throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dzoker's waist but Dzoker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Felix off to one side.
Felix on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Dzoker. Dzoker obviously looking to wear him down.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diesel pushes a forearm under Velasquez's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Velasquez is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
