Stanfield changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mustang looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mustang wants to get back to his feet but Stanfield drags him back down.
Stanfield remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Mustang isn't going anywhere.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aaron Stanfield will probably get the nod.

Stanfield feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mustang lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stanfield!

Mustang is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Stanfield to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stanfield shrugs it off.
