The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Risley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Risley content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Van De Velde wants to get back to his feet but Risley drags him back down.

Van De Velde is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Black accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Miles has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Black should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Miles has tightened it up now! Black should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

We've been told by Dighead's head coaches at VIP / 16 Elite Coaches / 1000$ that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Martinez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dighead - the referee stops the clock and Martinez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dighead. Martinez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Dighead goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Johnny Martinez has been cut.
Martinez misses with an uppercut. Dighead saw that one coming.
Whack! Dighead lands a heavy head kick that drops Martinez. The ref tackles Dighead to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Martinez was done.
