The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Powers instigates a clinch.

Powers gets control of Bozeck's arms and successfully pulls guard. Powers will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Powers tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bozeck tries to free his leg and advance position but Powers is retaining full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Powers is on top in guard.
Powers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bozeck on the ground.
Powers distracts Bozeck with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Powers stays in close to Bozeck's body and controls the position.

Bozeck is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Powers frees his head nicely. Oh but Bozeck has switched to an armbar! Powers is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

and Monster counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Monster is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kong presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Monster changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kong tries to avoid it but Monster manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kong to the ground. Kong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Monster shoots in looking for a takedown. Kong tries to sprawl out of it but Monster keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Monster tries a head kick but it misses.
Kong throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kong misses with a hook. Monster ducked under it nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That was a close round but I would say that King Kong will probably get the nod.

We've been hearing good reports from Hubbard's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
