The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Meyer seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
James throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Meyer avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
James thows a body shot but no joy.
James is looking to clinch but Meyer is avoiding it.
James throws the left hand but Meyer avoids the punch easily.

Meyer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging James to the ground. Meyer is now in James's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Meyer lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear James down.

James tries to bench press Meyer off him but Meyer keeps the position.
James really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Meyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
James wants to get back to his feet but Meyer drags him back down.

Meyer is working to tighten his grip on James's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. James has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Meyer is really squeezing tight and eventually James passes out! Meyer breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Romeo Bellanca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaylen Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bellanca comes into the arena with Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold blaring out of the sound system. Jones has chosen Pastor Troy - I Want War as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Romeo Bellanca has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Romeo Bellanca seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Bellanca sizes up Jones with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Bellanca shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bellanca looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
Jones lands a nice hook to Bellanca's body. Bellanca takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bellanca on the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones throws a pinpoint strike between Bellanca's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Bellanca crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Jones scores a great knockout victory!

Duhrover closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Duhrover has hold of Jordan's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jordan tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Duhrover cranks the arm and Jordan screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jordan, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Richards feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Contras sprawling to the canvas! Contras rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Richards finish him?!

Contras is rocked!

It looks like Orion Contras has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Richards cracks Contras with a left hook right on the temple and Contras goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Richards lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Contras is OK!

CJ Richards tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

Hernandez takes a swing at Hendricks's ribcage but misses.
Hernandez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hendricks connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hernandez scrambles back to his feet.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Spencer crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pol - the referee stops the clock and Spencer gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pol. Spencer manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Van Pol.
