The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vito comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Vito displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sato throws out the jab.
Vito has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Reyes sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Hunter's corner calls for a 1-2. Hunter obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Reyes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Drogo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fox has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fox swats away the attempt to clinch by Drogo.

Drogo gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Fox counters with a one-two to the body.

Drogo lands a good knee to the midsection. Fox won't want to take too many of those.
Fox tries to stall but Drogo uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Drogo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fox's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Drogo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fox scrambles back to his feet.
Fox throws a looping overhand right but Drogo ducks down to avoid it.
Fox scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Fox wants to get back to striking at distance but Drogo won't allow it.
Fox has had enough of the clinch but Drogo keeps him there for the moment.

Drogo lands with a short shot to the head.
Fox misses with a hook from the clinch.

Fox breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Drogo closes the distance but Fox moves to the side
and Fox makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That kick from Drogo tenderised Fox's leg. Fox is trying to keep his angry face on.

Fox's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Fox throws the left hand but Drogo avoids the punch easily.
Fox takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Fox checks a leg kick.
Drogo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fox tries to close the distance and clinch but Drogo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Drogo thuds his right hand into Fox's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Drogo throws a lazy right hand but Fox sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Drogo motions for Fox to come forward. Drogo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Drogo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Drogo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fox paws at him with a jab and circles away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Drogo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Drogo is looking to clinch but Fox is avoiding it.

Drogo with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A slow jab from Fox misses its intended target.
Drogo tries to land a front kick but Fox steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Drogo darts in trying to clinch
and Drogo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Fox fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Drogo, pushing him back against the cage.
Oh Drogo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fox pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fox darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Drogo's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Fox before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sam Fox!
Sam Fox is the new light heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Sam Fox thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
