The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Volsk throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Falten tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Volsk is in Falten's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Falten looking for a guillotine here but Volsk defends easily.
Volsk is in close to Falten's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Volsk loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Volsk throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Volsk throws a big right hand that misses.

Falten is looking to cinch up a triangle. Volsk throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Falten's body to avoid the submission. Falten has instead reached around Volsk's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Falten arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Schmidt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The fighters circling - Gukepshev throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gukepshev connects with the punch.

It looks like Glock Schmidt has been cut.
Schmidt throws a right and a left that Gukepshev avoids nicely.

Gukepshev cracks Schmidt with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Schmidt looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gukepshev finish him?

Schmidt is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Schmidt throws a looping overhand right but Gukepshev ducks down to avoid it.
Schmidt is still on wobbly legs! Can Gukepshev finish him?
Schmidt thows a body shot but no joy.
Gukepshev ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Schmidt's jaw. Schmidt's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Gukepshev does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Grigory Gukepshev!

Venger throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Himag crashing down! Himag tries to stagger back to his feet but Venger just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Himag asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
