And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones feints a jab promting Digogo to slip. Jones then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Digogo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Diego Digogo has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Digogo needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there.
Jones throws a nice looking combination but Digogo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Digogo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Digogo in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Jones is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones looks to move to half guard but instead Digogo has passed into mount! Damn!
Digogo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Digogo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Diego Digogo was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Digogo to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Digogo's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Digogo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Digogo decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Digogo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jones quickly recovers to half guard.

Digogo is looking to advance position but Jones won't allow it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Jones will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Diego Digogo's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Digogo is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones.
Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Digogo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Digogo tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Digogo tumbling to the canvas!
Digogo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well.
Jones slips nicely into half guard.
Digogo is breathing heavily.

Jones is trying for a kimura here. Digogo looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Jones wins by kimura!

Smiff throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smiff blocks a head kick by Arlovski.
Smiff rushes Arlovski and presses him up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Arlovski - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Arlovski jumps into guard, dragging Smiff to the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Smiff drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Smiff seems to have locked his on tight now - Arlovski screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Smiff, as he picks up the win!
