The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers throws a sloppy head kick and Terry moves out of range easily.
Terry looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Terry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rivers, pushing him back against the cage.
Rivers works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Rivers blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Rivers doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Terry is trying to break the clinch but Rivers is controlling him.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Rivers digs a right hand underneath Terry's ribcage. Terry let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Terry blocks an elbow strike.
Terry working hard to break the clinch.
Terry takes a knee to the side of the body.
Rivers lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Terry or not.
Rivers stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooh!!! Rivers has knocked Terry down with a huge combo! Rivers steps away and waves a wobbly Terry back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Rivers lands a hook that stumbles Terry back into the cage. Rivers follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Terry to the canvas! Rivers pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Terry has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Religion fails with the takedown

and Rose counters by clinching up.

Religion pulls guard.

Religion escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rose gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Religion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Religion has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rose can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Religion has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rose is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Religion.

Rose decides to stand back up. Rose steps back and let's Religion get back to his feet.
