Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Alkofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niall McJangly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Niall McJangly was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Marko Mihic has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, michal morawski!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
morawski slips a jab and a cross from Mihic.
Mihic throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mihic moves out of range of the strikes.

morawski scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Mihic looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
morawski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

morawski is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mihic has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. morawski is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Mihic leaves morawski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Mihic gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows morawski to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Mihic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. morawski defends it easily.

morawski uses his free foot to push down on Mihic's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mihic.

morawski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mihic pinned against the cage. Mihic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mihic lunges at morawski with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by morawski's hand.

Mihic throws a nice looking combination but morawski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

morawski might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mihic kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
morawski won't allow Mihic to get back to his feet.
morawski stays in close to Mihic's body and controls the position.
morawski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mihic swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

morawski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mihic looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

morawski creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mihic sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Mihic is squirming around, avoiding morawski's attempts to control the action.

morawski has hold of Mihic's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mihic manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

morawski is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mihic to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mihic shrugs it off.

morawski misses with a wild body shot.
morawski shoots in for a double leg but Mihic sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nice takedown defense from Mihic. No joy for morawski on that attempt.
morawski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mihic's waist but Mihic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing morawski off to one side.

morawski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mihic as he jumps to the side.
Mihic dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on morawski. That did some damage!

It looks like michal morawski has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mihic lands a big head kick that sends morawski tumbling to the mat! Mihic takes a step backwards and waves morawski back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mihic closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks morawski out cold! morawski corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
