Scary Buka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caporale throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Buka's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Caporale dives in looking to finish as Buka flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Caporale's strikes! Caporale is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Buka's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Buka was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brick gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kukla stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brick swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brick throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy.
Kukla wants to control from the top but Brick keeps moving.
Brick has momentary wrist control but Kukla slips an elbow through the middle.

Brick wants to stand up but Kukla is controlling him.
Kukla won't allow Brick to sweep him here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kukla has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kukla stands up over Brick, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Brick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kukla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kukla sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brick's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kukla works his foot free and advances to mount.
Kukla is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Kukla is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Brick is surviving well by controlling Kukla's body position as best he can.
Brick is desperately trying to improve his position but Kukla has a good base and remains in mount.

Kukla is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Brick to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brick shrugs it off.
Brick is in a horrible position here. Kukla smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Kukla is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Brick can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Brick is rocked!
Kukla drops a big elbow. That's hurt Brick! More shots from Kukla and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Artur Kukla!

After winning the bout, Artur Kukla thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
