The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapointe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lapointe wants it to stay on the feet.
Cabral moves forwards but Lapointe connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Lapointe darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Cabral is controlling Lapointe's trapped leg to prevent Lapointe from advancing to side control.
Lapointe tries to pass to full mount but Cabral defends it.
Cabral is trying to maintain the position but Lapointe is very close to passing his half guard.
Lapointe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cabral does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Gnay lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jitani circles away quickly and effectively.
Gnay feints a jab promting Jitani to slip. Gnay then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jitani slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
