Poon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jerk It Out-Caesars. Lonnie Poon has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Baxter has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Baxter there as he acknowledges the shot.
Poon attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Baxter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Poon.
Baxter on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Poon lands the left hand.
Poon dances in with a quick combination. Baxter is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Poon snaps Baxter's head back. Baxter stumbles backwards against the cage. Poon steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Baxter's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Baxter just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lonnie Poon!
After the fight, Lonnie Poon was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Hatake fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mitchell to the ground. Hatake is now in Mitchell's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hatake cracks Mitchell with a big right hand but Mitchell just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hatake is looking to take a break and control but Mitchell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
