Briggs isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McIlvey stacks Briggs on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McIlvey!
McIlvey is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Briggs's shoulder. That is not cool.

Briggs has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing McIlvey to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Briggs is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - McIlvey pulls down on the head and he's put Briggs to sleep! This one is all over!

Seterra throws a nice looking combination but Sapp bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Seterra swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sapp shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sapp. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Seterra throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Sapp's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Seterra dives in looking to finish as Sapp flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Seterra's strikes! Seterra is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Sapp's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Sapp was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

It looks like Ward might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Fukuta shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nowacki but Nowacki pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nowacki darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
