Neri connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Lopez wants to clinch up but Neri keeps it at a distance.
Lopez misses with a head kick.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Neri - that will leave a mark!
An inside leg kick from Neri misses.
Lopez throws a leg kick but Neri sees it coming and moves out of range.
Lopez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lopez is defended easily by Neri.
Lopez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Neri pinned against the cage. Neri gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lopez tries to clinch but Neri is having none of it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neri tries to land a knee to the head but Lopez blocks with his arms.
Neri gets underhooks to prevent Lopez's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nebojsa Lopez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lopez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Neri is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lopez to the mat. Lopez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Neri postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lopez working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Neri.
Neri throws a strike but Lopez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Lopez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lopez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Neri has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lopez has managed to get both his arms back between Neri's legs - danger averted.
Neri wants to sweep but no luck.
Lopez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Neri swivels though and keeps the full guard.

This one could be over very soon! Neri goes limp - he's gone! Lopez jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
