The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista fails to land with a series of punches.
Chason takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Batista fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chason manages to avoid it.
Batista displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chason.

Batista cracks Chason with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Chason looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Batista finish him?

Oh Chason is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Compton comes into the arena with Granville Bowlin - Wild Bill blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Gori changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Compton tries to avoid it but Gori manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Compton to the ground. Compton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Compton dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gori. That did some damage!

Compton fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gori has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

A head kick by Compton - that's a beauty! Gori is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Compton can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bill Compton!
