The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brookins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stevens's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brookins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Brookins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stevens swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tweedie, as that shot connected.

It looks like Jon Bilashki has been cut.
Bilashki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tweedie stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tweedie wants it to stay on the feet.
Bilashki blocks a head kick by Tweedie.
Tweedie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bilashki manages to avoid it.
Tweedie thuds his shin into the meat of Bilashki's side.
Bilashki is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bilashki walks straight into a right hand from Tweedie - that's dropped him! Tweedie jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bilashki from any more punishment! Bilashki complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

A relieved looking Callum Tweedie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
