The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mityou shoots in looking for a takedown. Diggler tries to sprawl out of it but Mityou keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Diggler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mityou looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Mityou changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diggler tries to avoid it but Mityou manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diggler to the ground. Diggler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mityou shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diggler pinned against the cage. Diggler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Wood comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 1 hitta quitta 3 6 mafia kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Wood lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Foster can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Wood and Foster drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Wood.

Hendo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Staunton sprawls well initially but Hendo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Hendo is nestled in close to Staunton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hendo drops an elbow to the side of Staunton's head.

Hendo stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Staunton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hendo walks away with a smile on his face. Staunton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hendo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hendo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hendo lands with a big left! Staunton is wobbled badly! Hendo comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Staunton to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
