Mitsuha kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is JAP - abingdon boys school. Magnus Nibey will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nibey forces Mitsuha back against the cage and clinches.
Nibey misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Mitsuha.
Mitsuha tries to pull guard but Nibey forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Mitsuha has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nibey uses from the top position.
Nibey would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Mitsuha has his foot on Nibey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nibey works his way back into a safe position though.
Mitsuha pulls Nibey in close to prevent any damage.
Nibey wanted to stand there but Mitsuha had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mitsuha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nibey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nibey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Nibey wants to get up but he can't break Mitsuha's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mitsuha is adopting a defensive guard.

Mitsuha had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nibey defends it easily.

Nibey has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mitsuha to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nibey is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mitsuha pulls down on the head and he's put Nibey to sleep! This one is all over!

Mix listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Mix gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snow to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Snow is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Snow is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mix is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mix has escaped and now he's on top!
Mix postures up in Snow's guard and throws a big left but Snow blocks it.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cice Salace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Lotus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lotus has chosen Eye of the tiger as his entrance music. Tommy Lotus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one!
