And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dr Pepper!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clemson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pepper was well out of range. Poor timing from Clemson.
Clemson misses with a takedown attempt - Pepper sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Clemson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pepper to the mat! Pepper manages to get full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Pepper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clemson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clemson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clemson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Clemson wants to control from the top but Pepper keeps moving.

Pepper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clemson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clemson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Clemson wants to control from the top but Pepper keeps moving.

Pepper has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Clemson doesn't defend quickly enough and Pepper has managed to lock this one up! Can Clemson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Pepper on a fantastic submission victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake throws a looping overhand right but Cua ducks down to avoid it.
Cua looks to land a body kick but Blake moved away.
Cua throws a leg kick but Blake sees it coming and moves out of range.
Blake wants to clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cua is defended easily by Blake.

Blake moves into the clinch.
Blake lands an elbow inside that Cua shrugs off.

It looks like Rick Cua has been cut.
A short right from Blake on the inside.
Cua misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Blake.

Blake's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cua takes one to the side of the head.

Blake sends Cua crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Blake is motioning to the referee to let Cua up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cua throws a head kick but Blake moves out of range.

Are you kidding me?! Blake ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Cua clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Dickens goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Ian McCall has been cut.
Dickens tries to clinch up but McCall circles away and keeps his distance.
Dickens shoots and misses
and McCall counters with an outside leg kick.

Dickens gets a clinch.
McCall has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Dickens tries to pull guard but McCall holds him up against the cage and eventually Dickens drops back down to his feet.

Dickens pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dickens rushes McCall and presses him up against the cage.

Dickens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dickens remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCall is looking to stand up but Dickens isn't so interested in that idea.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dickens wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of McCall's closed guard. He's half up but McCall has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! McCall pivots and extends the arm, Dickens falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by McCall! Well done that man!
